After retiring from 21 years of Army service, the Broner family moved to Missouri and opened their own pumpkin patch in 2017 located on their cozy farm, Still Waters Farm in Richland.
Paul Broner served three combat deployments and Monica Broner is a seven-year Army veteran with one combat deployment. The Broners are a family of five and taking care of the Missouri agro-tourism farm is a family affair to say the least.
Activities at Still Water include zip line, tractor drawn hayride to the pumpkin patch, a human hamster wheel, duck races, corn pit, tree swings, tree fort, a game shack with lots of oversized lawn games and activities, two types of trains, a bounce house, pedal cart racers, a working gem mining sluice and much more.
It also has a District 9 area that includes a corn cannon, paintball target shooting and Thunder Dome Ax Throwing.
The couple said, "One of the main reasons we began this farm venture was to create something we can pass on to our three children. They work alongside us as we design, build, and maintain all our activities. Many of the structures on our farm were built by us and a close friend, using cedars from our property and rough-cut lumber from a local sawmill as much as possible. We love the rustic appeal and old-time quality of our attractions. As we continue to add on, our goal is to provide a fun, adventurous and affordable destination for families with activities that will keep all ages engaged.” Visit http://www.stillwatersfarmmo.com for more information.
