Author Izzy B. and illustrator Ben Askew brought excitement and inspiration to Waynesville R-VI elementary schools during the district's Love of Reading Week Sept. 22-26.

Dressed as pirates, the creative duo entertained and motivated students with a lively presentation about their journey, beginning with Izzy’s dream to become an author, which started in first grade.
