Virginia Rehm, a teacher at Freedom Elementary, was presented the 1st Quarter 2025 Project Teach Award by Dr. Jamie Goforth, assistant superintendent of personnel services, during the Waynesville R-VI Board of Education meeting on Oct. 13.

Rehm was recognized for her "Just Like Me Mentor Club" project, which promotes positive social skills in a safe environment.
