From brass to strings to drums to a full concert band, the Waynesville Middle School Band concert on Dec. 1, 2022, offered it all.
The Missouri State University Trombone Ensemble opened the event with unique arrangements showcasing the power of the brass instrument.
Next, the Waynesville Youth Symphony performed five pieces, followed by the Advanced Percussion band’s performance of two tunes.
The WMS Concert Band performed five pieces and for the finale the Waynesville Youth Symphony returned to the stage to join the WMS concert band for “A Festival of Carols” by Randall Standridge.
Other recent concerts have been:
Dec. 6: Elementary Voices at 6 p.m. and Waynesville High School Choir at 7 p.m., both in the WHS Auditorium.
Dec. 8: Waynesville High School Band holiday concert, 6 p.m. Waynesville High School Auditorium.
