As we move into December, our city steps into a month filled with holiday traditions, family gatherings, and moments that bring us closer together. I want to begin by thanking everyone who came out to support this year’s Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce Veterans Day Parade. Your presence helped honor the men and women who have served our country with courage and dedication. I also want to recognize the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes to make the event successful.
Most importantly, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Cecilia Murray. This year marked her final Veterans Day Parade as the Chamber Director after more than two decades of service. Her leadership, commitment, and steady hand have shaped the parade into one of our community’s most cherished traditions. It was an honor to host her last parade here in St. Robert.
As we settle into the holiday season, I hope each of you had a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving. I trust you were able to spend time with family, friends, or loved ones and reflect on the many blessings we share as a community.
Remembering City Attorney Tyce Smith
Our community experienced a great loss with the passing of our longtime City Attorney, Tyce Smith. On behalf of the entire City of St. Robert, I want to once again offer our deepest condolences to his family. Tyce served our city with integrity, compassion, and a steady commitment to doing what was right. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, his professionalism, and the way he always carried himself with humility. We are grateful for his many years of dedicated service and for the guidance he provided to our city leaders and staff. He will be missed, and his impact will continue to be felt throughout our community for years to come.

Third Annual Salute to the Season
On Friday, December 26th, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., the cities of Waynesville and St. Robert will come together to host the third annual Salute to the Season at the St. Robert Community Center. This event is dedicated to service members from Fort Leonard Wood who are unable to travel home for the holidays. Our goal is simple. We want to give them an evening filled with good food, laughter, and the warmth of a community that cares. The event will include a free dinner, desserts, games, bingo, trivia, and gift card prizes generously donated by local businesses. It is a special way for us to remind these soldiers that even when they cannot be with their families, they still have a family here in the St. Robert/Waynesville community. On behalf of myself, Mayor Sean Wilson, and the Leadership Pulaski County Alumni Association, we look forward to welcoming and celebrating with them. Anyone who would like to volunteer or make a donation to support this event may contact the Waynesville St. Robert Chamber of Commerce.
Report Issues with Hometown Grid
Don’t forget, St. Robert residents can quickly report city issues using the Hometown Grid reporting tool by calling or texting 833-691-3343.
You can report electrical, water, or gas outages, as well as streetlights out, stop signs knocked down, or any other concerns you’d like the city to know about.
This service truly works. I’ve personally used Hometown Grid to report a downed stop sign, and within just a few hours a temporary sign was in place, followed by the permanent one within 24 hours. It’s a fast and effective way to help us keep our city safe and running smoothly.
