CHOICES Program

On Oct. 15 and 16, the CHOICES Program was delivered to Crocker Middle School’s eighth grade students by the Leadership Pulaski County Alumni Foundation along with volunteers from the Waynesville-St. Robert Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Pulaski County. This presentation was proudly sponsored by Fort Leonard Wood Thrift Shop, Laclede Electric Trust, The Giving Branch-Waynesville Flat Branch Home Loans, and Walmart St. Robert.

The CHOICES Program presented highlighted the importance of self discipline, the importance of education, and how to plan for the future through engaging hands-on and interactive activities. Students were encouraged to remain in school until graduation by role playing scenarios that compared opportunities available to high school dropouts, graduates, and to those who pursued a higher education outside of high school. These activities emphasized how education directly impacts career options and how it can affect long-term success.
