The organization has been in the Waynesville-St. Robert-FLW area since 2009. The Food Pantry and Resource Center is here to serve the needs of our community. Just in the month of September, 746 families were helped and over 6,000 members of the community came in for their services.
Donations, food and/or money are always accepted. The monetary donations allow for purchases of large quantities of goods at discounted rates. Many businesses within the community donate to the food pantry, including Walmart, The Commissary, Kum & Go and Starbucks. Soon donations from Dollar General and Aldi will also be received.
All services are free, and an open access pantry provides fresh bread, milk, cheese, yogurt and produce with no income requirements. This is possible because of a partnership with Ozark Food Harvest. Another monthly program offered is the distribution of Senior Boxes. There are currently 210 seniors on the list, with over 145 on the waiting list. This program does have some requirements. To see if you qualify, simply stop by, and speak to a representative.
The Good Samaritan of the Ozarks Food Pantry and Resource Center is located on U.S. Rt. 66, in Waynesville.
