Sustainable Ozarks Partnership (SOP) is encouraging military spouses in this area to participate in the Regional Military Spouse Employment Needs Survey currently underway.
“The survey was launched on March 14, 2026, and will remain open until we reach our goal of at least 300 respondents,” Dorsey Newcomb, executive director of SOP, noted. “This online survey seeks to collect input from all military spouses (active, guard, reserve, retired, veteran, and all branches of service) regarding their professional and career experiences while living in the FLW Region. Input will help us identify current opportunities and weaknesses within the state and assist with the development of strategies and tools that will allow Missouri’s military spouses to thrive and grow their careers.”
The SOP team will be using Google Forms as the tool to conduct this survey. Google Forms allows us to collect responses and view them in real time. The survey can be shared in a variety of ways, including email, social media, and it can be embedded on websites. The survey takes an estimated 10 minutes to complete and can be viewed here.
Once the survey data has been collected, findings will be used to create a public report. The report will be shared with state and military officials to take the necessary steps to ensure military spouses and families have the support and tools that are necessary for success.
“All responses for this survey are anonymous and no personal identifiable data will be collected in this survey,” Newcomb stated. “The knowledge and understanding military spouses have on this topic is priceless.”
