Certified general municipal election results were approved, and City Administrator Anita Ivey officially gave the oath of office to newly elected Mayor James Breckinridge during regular session on April 15 at City Hall in St. Robert.
Others taking the oath were newly elected Dr. Charles Slider, Ward 1; and Dr. George Lauritson, Ward 4; and incumbents Reggie Hall, Ward 2; and Walter Reese, Ward 3.
All are two-year terms.
Council members approved the appointment of Michael Hanks to fill Breckinridge’s unexpired term in Ward 3.
Councilman Reese was unanimously voted to serve as mayor pro tem.
Following the reorganization, the council conducted regular business.
The board first approved a Fair Housing Month proclamation and then the following ordinances:
• An agreement to terminate dispatching services between the city of St. Robert and the City of Dixon
• Authorization for the mayor to execute a state block grant agreement between the cities of Waynesville and St. Robert and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission
• Appointment of newly elected Mayor Breckinridge to the board of directors for Central Ozarks Utility and Service Alliance
• Appointment of City Administrator Anita Ivey to serve as director on the board of directors of the Central Ozarks Utility and Service Alliance
• Authorization for disposal of certain city records (allowed by state law following records retention requirements)
• Approval of an agreement between the city and American Water Military Services Group LLC to perform solid waste services on Fort Leonard Wood U.S. Army military base
• Authorization for the mayor to execute and animal control and animal care contract between the cities of St. Robert and Waynesville
• Appointment of members to the joint airport board formed by the cities of Waynesville and St. Robert on May 19, 2005, and ratifying all prior service on behalf of the city
