Frisco League runner Mallory Shaw, a freshman from Stoutland High School, has been named the Southwest Cross Country Coaches Association Athlete of the Year for Missouri Class 1.
Shaw captured the Missouri Class 1 2022 state championship with a time of 20:38 – 12 seconds ahead of runner-up Josie Villard of Christian.
Stoutland had three other runners honored on the SWCCCA Class 1 Team, as senior Bethany Kincaid was named to the girls’ second team and senior Bradley Shaw on the boys’ first team and sophomore Aaron Franklin on the second team.
