SOFTBALL: Lady Tigers post back-to-back victories

And Tuesday the Lady Tigers hosted Springfield Parkview and rolled to a 16-1 win.

Last week Waynesville finished 2-4, winning home games against Richland 15-3 Monday, Sept. 8 and over Republic 7-6 in nine innings Tuesday, Sept. 9 before traveling to Willard Thursday, Sept. 11 and falling 9-1. The Lady Tiger jayvee squad beat Richland 14-4, lost to Republic 14-0 and lost to Willard 10-0.

The Lady Tiger varsity squad also played in the Vienna Fall Invitational Saturday, Sept. 13 and dropped three games, to host Vienna 7-3, to Osage 11-3 and to Hartville 10-2.

Waynesville was slated to end this week’s action by playing at Carthage Thursday, Sept. 18 (5 p.m.).
