Injuries were reported Monday, July 28, resulting from a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the 163-mile marker of Interstate 44, according to an online report of Troop I of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

A 2022 Ford Escape, driven by a 47-year-old Belle man, was eastbound at 9:44 p.m. July 28 when a deer was observed in the roadway and the vehicle began to slow. A 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by a 44-year-old Rolla woman, also slowed but struck the Ford before traveling off the left side of the roadway and coming to rest. The Ford came to rest in the road.
