VOLLEYBALL: Lady Tigers open by winning two of first three matches

Against Neosho, Alayna Barkley had four aces and 11 kills; Madison Mulholland 4 aces; Zetalyn Mansapit four aces and 15 assists; Taylor Miller four aces, seven kills and one block; Kynleigh Barkley 11 kills, two blocks and 12 digs, and Jaylee Gettys 14 assists and 13 digs.

Also against Neosho, the Lady Tiger junior varsity won 2-0 and the freshman team lost 2-0.

The Lady Tiger jayvee team also competed in the Springfield Hillcrest JV Slamfest, beating Hillcrest 2-0; falling to Carl Junction and Springfield Central 2-0, and tying Springfield Glendale 1-1.

The rest of this week Waynesville was slated to host Republic Thursday, Sept. 11 (4:30 p.m.) and compete in the Springfield Hillcrest Tournament Saturday, Sept. 13.
