I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a joyful New Year. However you celebrate the holiday season, my family and I truly hope it was spent enjoying meaningful time with family and friends.
December was a busy month in the City of St. Robert, but it was also a month that truly reflected the spirit of giving. From Salvation Army bell ringing and Hearts of Pulaski County gift giving, to the many fundraisers and holiday meals served throughout our area, our community came together in a remarkable way.
Organizations such as our local VFWs and the USO hosted meals and events that helped ensure families and individuals felt supported and cared for during the holiday season. I am hopeful that, as a collective group, we were able to make a real difference in the lives of many who may have otherwise faced a difficult Christmas.
The month was filled with meaningful moments and opportunities to serve, including Christmas in the Park, Wreaths Across America, and our final City Council meeting on December 16, where we finalized important planning efforts and approved a city budget that supports our essential operations. While the final weeks of December traditionally bring a slower pace, the first three weeks were full, active, and deeply rewarding.
December is often described as the season of giving, and I am incredibly proud of the generosity, compassion, and commitment shown across our community. It was a busy month, but one I would not trade for anything. As we step into a new year, I hope that same spirit of caring and service continues to guide us in the months ahead.
